The Compass Center

Domestic violence survivors can face ongoing and challenging effects after enduring physical, mental, and emotional abuse. It can take time for a survivor to adjust to living in a safe environment, especially if a perpetrator was severely violent and/or committed the actions over an extended period of time. Please be sure to take the time and proper care you need to get through this difficult time in your life. If you feel you need to talk you can always call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1.800.422.4453. There is an abundance of information on the process of being a survivor that can be found at The Joyful Heart Foundation Website
